Witricity stands for wireless electricity.Yes the modern world is getting rid of the complicated wires and cable for the power transfer and the wireless electric world is coming into existence.It uses the principle of coupled resonant objects(resonating magnetic field) to transfer wireless electricity.It requires a transmitter as well as a receiver for transmission.The inventors of the witricty is from Massachusetts Institute of Technology ,the prime experiment was ligting up a bulb which was at a distance of seven feet a from the source using a transmitter and receiver.
